"A Heartfelt 5-Star Review for Gandalata Sandwich Bar. I absolutely adore Gandalata in Belém—it's become one of my absolute favorite spots in Lisbon! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with the most stunning views: the sparkling Tagus River right in front, the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge stretching majestically across the water, and the breathtaking Christ the King statue (Cristo Rei) watching over it all from the opposite bank. It's pure magic, especially on a sunny day when you can sit outdoors and soak it all in. The food is simple but delicious and hits the spot every time. The sandwiches are fresh and tasty, the fish options are light and well-seasoned, Pair it with a cold beer or a smooth coffee, and it's perfection. What truly makes Gandalata special is the staff—they're incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive, always with a smile that makes you feel like family. I needed assistance to phone a taxi and without hesitation one was booked. The place is spotlessly clean, from the tables to the facilities, which is so appreciated in a busy waterfront spot. And over the weekends? It's a total bikers' paradise! The area comes alive with motorcycle enthusiasts cruising along the riverfront roads, parking up, and gathering to chat and enjoy the vibe. The roar of engines, the sense of community—it's exhilarating and adds such an exciting energy to the already amazing atmosphere. Gandalata isn't just a cafe; it's an experience I fallen in love with. Highly recommend—come for the views, stay for the food and fantastic people!"

"A great cafe within view of the sea. The burgers are good and the fries are excellent. The meals come with a garlic mayonnaise which is great. Burger meal, fries, 2 X cokes and 2 X Sagres beers came to €25. There's lots of shaded and sunny tables and your given a disc that flashes when your food is ready."
